Organic Pearled Barley has been lightly polished to remove part or all of the germ and bran, leaving just the 'pearl' inside. Pearled barley cooks faster than hulled barley.

With a chewy texture and nutty flavor, barley is a delicious grain that can be used in a number of ways. Barley is fantastic for adding flavour, fibre and texture to soups and salads.

Organic Pearled Barley may be cooked and served as a side dish similar to rice or couscous. Once cooked, it can be used in salads, to thicken soups, broths or stews or for stuffing. To cook simmer 1 part barley in 4 parts water for 30-45mins.
